Giving out a physical paper copy for viewers to follow along, or review later, can be a great way to make sure your message sticks. Step 1: Access Print Settings
To begin printing, you need to access the print settings. Click on the File tab located in the Google Slides menu, then select Print Settings and Preview from the options at the bottom:
Step 2: Choose the Number of Slides to Print
Once the print settings menu appears, you’ll have various options for customizing your printouts. In the upper left corner, click the button that says 1 slide without notes. This is Google Slides’ default print setting:
Be cautious about printing too many slides on a single sheet, as it could make them difficult to read, especially if the text is small. A good compromise is to select 4 slides per page. Google Slides will provide you with a preview to confirm that everything looks satisfactory:
Step 3: Print Your Slides
If you’re satisfied with the layout, click Print in the upper right corner (or use Control + P on Windows, or Command + P on Mac) and follow the print window’s instructions. You can also adjust the orientation to either portrait or landscape. Typically, landscape orientation works better when printing four slides, as it enhances the width and height of the slides on the page:
Conclusion
In today’s digital landscape, being eco-friendly and cost-effective is essential. When preparing Google Slides handouts for your audience, there’s usually no need to print each slide on its own page. By printing multiple slides on a single page, you not only save money on ink and paper but also contribute positively to the environment.
