To create high-resolution images from your PowerPoint slides, you’ll need to adjust some settings and follow a few straightforward steps.
Adjusting Your PowerPoint Settings
Change the Export Resolution

Open the Registry Editor. Press ⊞ Win+R on your keyboard, type in
regedit
, and hit OK. This will launch the Windows Registry Editor, where you can modify specific settings.- This step is crucial as it allows you to change the default export resolution for images.

Navigate to the appropriate folder. Find the folder path:

Create a new DWORD value. Right-click in the pane on the right, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value from the pop-up menu.

Name the new entry. Enter
ExportBitmapResolution
and press ↵ Enter. -
Adjust the entry settings. Double-click the new entry, set the Base to “Decimal,” and enter
300
for the Value data. Click OK to confirm. -
Exit the Registry Editor. Click Exit on the file menu to complete this step.
Saving the File

Open your PowerPoint presentation. Launch PowerPoint and open the presentation you want to save as images. Click File.

Select Save As. Choose the option to save your presentation.

Choose the image format. In the “Save as type” dropdown, select either PNG, JPG, GIF, or TIFF format. PNG is recommended due to its high image quality and compatibility with various programs. Click Save to proceed.

Specify the slides to save. After selecting your save options, you will be prompted to choose whether to export just the current slide or all slides in the presentation.

- Always check your image quality after saving to ensure it meets your needs.
