1. Add a Slide With an Identical Layout
Suppose you’ve completed a slide and want to add another one similar to it. Simply click on the Plus (+) icon located in the upper left corner. A new slide will instantly appear.
2. Add a Slide With a New Layout
If you prefer to add a slide featuring a new layout and content placeholders, click on the drop-down arrow to the right of the Plus (+) icon. A menu displaying a series of thumbnails will appear.
Each thumbnail showcases a unique custom slide layout. To select a new layout, simply click on the desired thumbnail, and the new slide will be added.
3. Delete a Slide
To remove a slide, right-click on the slide thumbnail in the sidebar on the left side.
Then click on Delete, and the slide will be removed from your presentation.
Finishing Up
As demonstrated, adding and deleting slides in Google Slides is a straightforward way to customize your presentation. After adding a slide with a new layout, feel free to click and drag content placeholders, such as images and text boxes, to adjust the layout to your preference. Be mindful not to add too many slides, as audiences tend to lose focus if a presentation drags on too long. Lastly, remember that any changes can be undone using the Undo command.
