Sharpening or Softening an Image
To begin, follow these steps to sharpen or soften an image in your presentation:
- Run PowerPoint, open the presentation, and select the image you want to modify.
- Navigate to the Picture Format tab, and in the Adjust group, click the Corrections drop-down arrow. From there, you can select one of the options under Sharpen/Soften.
Adjusting the Brightness of an Image
To adjust the brightness of an image, do the following:
- Open your presentation in PowerPoint and select the image you want to modify.
- On the Picture Format tab, in the Adjust group, click the Corrections drop-down arrow and choose one of the options under Brightness/Contrast.
Modifying the Color of an Image
To modify the color settings of an image:
- Select the image you want to modify in your PowerPoint presentation.
- On the Picture Format tab, in the Adjust group, click the Color drop-down arrow.
Here, you’ll find various options to enhance your image:
- Color Saturation: Adjusts the image’s saturation levels.
- Color Tone: Modifies the color temperature of the image.
- Recolor: Allows you to assign an accent color to the image.
Adjusting the Transparency of an Image
To adjust the transparency of an image:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation and select the image you wish to modify.
- On the Picture Format tab, in the Adjust group, click the Transparency drop-down arrow and choose one of the available options.
Applying Preset Styles to an Image
To apply preset styles to an image:
- Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
- Select the image you want to modify.
- On the Picture Format tab, in the Picture Styles group, click the Picture Effects drop-down arrow to see all available presets. Choose the one that suits your design.
Resetting an Image
If you need to reset an image back to its original state:
- Select the image you want to modify in your PowerPoint presentation.
- Go to the Picture Format tab, in the Adjust group, and click Reset Picture.
