Translate in PowerPoint
2 minutes read
Businesspeople, teachers, speakers… they all end up needing translations at one point in their careers. That’s only natural, when you have such amazing presentations, you attract people from all over the world, and it can happen that our audience doesn’t speak the same language. But worry not, because in this tutorial you are going to learn how to translate PowerPoint slides in four easy steps!
Step-by-Step Guide to Translating in PowerPoint
To begin the translation process, follow these steps:
-
Open the Presentation: Start by opening your presentation in PowerPoint. For our example, we used the colorful and engaging template called Kindergarten Sight Word Books.
-
Access the Translator Tool: Go to the menu and click on Review > Translate. This will open the Translator menu.
-
Select the Target Language: Choose the language you want to translate your text into. The program should automatically detect the source language.
-
Translate the Text: Select the text box you want to have translated. The translation will automatically appear in the target language.
-
Insert the Translation: If you wish to replace the original text with the translated version, simply click on Insert.
While it’s important to note that this translation tool allows you to translate only one text box at a time, it still provides a valuable way to understand the content of a presentation in a different language. For more comprehensive needs, consider hiring a professional translator.
At Slidesgo, we take pride in providing high-quality translations for our templates, which is why we offer a wide range of designs in French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, in addition to English.
