Adding a Hyperlink in PowerPoint
Our first tutorial addresses a common query: How do I add a hyperlink in PowerPoint? Follow these simple steps to incorporate hyperlinks into your presentations.
Step 1: Open PowerPoint and Highlight Text
Begin by opening your PowerPoint presentation. Highlight the text that you want to turn into a hyperlink. Next, navigate to the INSERT tab.
Step 2: Select Hyperlink
In the INSERT menu, click on the Hyperlink option.
Step 3: Paste Your Link
A dialog box will appear. Paste your desired web page link into the address box located at the bottom.
Step 4: Edit Display Text
Check the text displayed in the ‘Text to display’ field at the top of the dialog box. This text will be visible as the hyperlink in your presentation. Feel free to modify or edit this text as needed.
Step 5: Finalize Your Hyperlink
Once you are satisfied with the link and display text, click OK. The highlighted text will now appear underlined, indicating that it is a hyperlink. To test it, switch to presentation mode by pressing F5.
