Edit in PPT Is Now Powered by GPT-6

Edit in PPT now runs on GPT-6, OpenAI’s latest generation of models.
The upgrade applies across the app — converting images and PDFs, rebuilding NotebookLM slide decks, generating slides from text, and handling your plain-language edit requests.
What’s changing
Converting a slide into editable PowerPoint is a vision-heavy task. The model has to read every string on the page, work out which pieces belong together, recognize tables and charts, and place each element where it sits on the original. Stronger models do this with fewer misreadings, better grouping of text, and more faithful layouts — which means less fixing by hand afterwards.
We’ve always said we would adopt stronger models as they became available. GPT-6 is that step.
What stays the same
- The app works the same way. Same tabs — Image to PPT, NotebookLM to PPT and Text to PPT — and the same upload, generate and download steps.
- Your output is still a normal
